Flickr account!
As part of an assignment for my class, I was to open a
Flickr account and upload three photos and tag them. It was easy to open a
Flickr account, as this seems to be a very user friendly sight. For those with
a Flickr account, my photostream can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/141511540@N06/
I uploaded three pictures from Hawaii trips and tagged them accordingly. Two of these photos are of islands off shore Oahu, Hawaii from Lanakai Beach and Chinaman’s Hat. I initially had my photos and tags set up then forgot to upload them before I left the page. As a result, I had to upload and tag them over again, but it was still quick and easy. I searched for similar tags such as “Lanikai”, “Na Mokulua”, “Chinaman’s Hat” and “MokoliĘ»i” to see what other photos resulted in a search. To my surprise there were dozens if not hundreds of photos using similar tags. I even searched for “tropical storm Darby” which was a tag on one of my photos. This search also resulted in hundreds of photos with the same tag.
Overall, I found that Flickr is a great site to look for photos of anything!

This blog is part of an assignment from American Military
University for my "Web 2.0 Fundamentals" class where I am to open Flickr and del.icio.us accounts, then review the process.
